About AEA

Background and Overview

The African Electoral Alliance (AEA) is a Distinguished Independent Continental Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Uganda, operating since its establishment in 2015.

Created in response to concerns about electoral integrity, governance, and democratic principles across Africa, AEA works to advance democracy, transparency, and good governance. This organization, registered as a non-profit company limited by guarantee, has a vast outreach extending beyond Africa to engage with global partners and stakeholders.
